About the Author

In 1991, Melanie Cardwell trained in Herbal Medicine with the Selfheal School for Herbalists and Natural Healers and subsequently went on to apprentice with her teacher Jill Davies, and then taught alongside her for several years. In 2001, she founded Nature’s Pharmacy, a successful mail order herbal online pharmacy and clinic. She is also a qualified Iridologist, Reiki Master Teacher, Thermo-Auricular Therapist, Energy Meridian Therapist (EFT), Crystal Healer and Masseuse.

Melanie’s passion and aim is to empower her clients to reclaim their own ability to heal themselves. Her approach to healing the body is holistic, influenced by several cultures and traditions, as well as her knowledge and intuition. Melanie runs workshops on ‘Celebrating the Sacred Earth Year’ and ‘Kitchen Pharmacy, both in the UK and abroad, and is currently planning Experiential ‘Herbcraft’ Workshops in the summer of 2010 for those wanting a ‘hands-on’ approach to subjects covered in the Course. She has also written various articles for local and national publications.
